Basics
The Vitality system was added in the Gracia Part 1 update and designed to simplify your character exping. Thanks to Vitality points, you get additional experience when hunting monsters.
In addition to CP, HP, and MP, the character status window has a fourth bar: the VP (Vitality Point) indicator.
The Energy System allows you to gain more experience and SP for killing a monster:
- Restores points when the character is out of the game, in a peaceful zone and when hunting raid bosses. After earning a certain number of points, the Energy level increases
- Consumes points while hunting common monsters
Energy Level Bonus
We reworked the energy system to balance the opportunities for all players of the Masterwork project. The experience bonus from Energy was slightly reduced — this levels out the gap of experience gaining speed between players who use items that restore Energy and those who play without donations. For the same reason, we left the Nevit system.
| Basic Game | Masterwork | |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 150% of experience and SP | 125% of experience |
| Level 2 | 200% of experience and SP | 150% of experience |
| Level 3 | 250% of experience and SP | 175% of experience |
| Level 4 | 300% of experience and SP | 200% of experience |
Pay attention!
Energy only increases the experience gained for killing monsters. Energy does not affect the experience gained from killing RBs or completing quests.
How it works on Masterwork?
- Base experience rate x1 (100%)
- Experience Rune Bonus +50% to base experience
- Maximum bonus from Vitality +100% to base experience
In total, the sum of all bonuses gives the player 100% + 100% + 50% = 250% = rate x2.5
In the early server stages, the Rune of Experience is only available for Ivory Coin NG Foundation , the reward for daily missions. That allows players to get an experience bonus without donating.
For more information about missions, read the article Missions on the Masterwork.
Based on this math, it is clear that the difference in experience with and without Vitality bonuses is not as significant as with the basic Vitality settings and the Nevit system. We are confident that our Vitality system is fairer for all types of players and allows each player to play the game with maximum benefit.
Vitality Points Consumption
Vitality points are consumed when you kill monsters and earn additional experience. The more experience you get, the more Vitality points spend.
Pay attention!
The Vitality bonus does not affect the experience gained from killing a raid boss or completing a quest.
Vitality consumption for killing a monster = (Exp / Level^2) * 100 / 9
- Exp — Base value of experience gained for killing a monster
- Level — Monster Level
Example:
Monster —
Hot Springs Nepenthes Lv. 75
Level — 75 lvl
Experience — 23 272 exp
Count: ( 23 272 / 75*75 ) * 100 / 9 = 46 Vitality points are spent when killing a monster
Vitality Restoration
Vitality points are restored passively and through in-game methods using special items or herbs.
Passive recovery
Full restoration of Vitality points will take a total of 83h 20m (3 days 11h 20m) offline.
On Masterwork servers, full Energy recovery will take 55h 33m (2 days 7 hours 33 minutes) regardless of being online.
- Online — 1 point is restored every minute in the peace zone (6 points on Masterwork servers)
- Offline — 4 points are restored every minute in the combat zone or 6 points in the peaceful zone
Maximum Vitality — 20,000 points
| Level | Points | In the peace zone | Offline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 0 → 1 | 240 points | 4,5 minutes | 8,5 minutes |
| Level 1 → 2 | 1 560 points | 28 minutes | 55 minutes |
| Level 2 → 3 | 12 800 points | 3 h 48 minutes | 7 h 37 minutes |
| Level 3 → 4 | 3 600 points | 64 minutes | 2 h 8 minutes |
| Level 4 → Maximum | 1 800 points | 32 minutes | 64 minutes |
| Level 2 → Maximum | 18 200 | 5 h 25 minutes | 10 h 50 minutes |

Premium Account and Vitality
When developing the Premium Account system, our team tried to pay attention to the game features of different types of players. According to the nuances of levelling, we tied the experience bonus to the Vitality system. That allowed us to reduce the gap in the speed of gaining experience between players with and without a Premium Account.
An active Premium Account "freezes" Vitality at level one, preventing it from decreasing — this gives a permanent increase in experience gained by 25%. The bonus does not apply to experience gained from killing raid bosses but is cumulative with the bonus of Vitality Rune 7 Days NG
For more information about the features of the Premium Account, read the article Premium Account and VIP Status
Items for retention and recovery
Pay attention!
The reuse time of all Vitality restoring items and skills changes depending on the season stage.
At the start of Masterwork 2023, the reuse time is the default, and for Masterwork Eternal is reduced by 2 times.
- Personal temporary item. Available in 7, 30 and 100-day options
- The bonus is cumulative with the Premium Account effect
- If you have two items in your inventory, even with different durations, the effect only works for one
Together with a Premium Account does not allow Vitality to fall below the second level, which gives a permanent increase in experience gained by 50%.
Without a Premium Account — does not allow Vitality to fall below the first level, which gives a permanent increase in experience gained by 25%.
